My name is Mitch Chase, and I am blessed to be married six years to Stacie and to be the father of 2 sons, Jensen and Logan. After pastoring in Texas, our family moved to Louisville in the summer of 2010 so that I could pursue a PhD in Biblical Studies at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
I surrendered to the ministry in 2000, as a junior in high school. After graduation, I attended Houston Baptist University from 2001-2004, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Christianity and Psychology.
I attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary from 2005-2007, graduating with a Master of Divinity. Then, in December 2008, I completed a Master of Theology from Southwestern.
Over the years I have found many writers good for my soul. They include C. S. Lewis, John Piper, Tim Keller, Wayne Grudem, Bruce Ware, N. T. Wright, G. K. Chesterton, D. A. Carson, Jim Hamilton, Greg Beale, Kevin DeYoung, Thomas Schreiner, Albert Mohler, Ben Witherington, Samuel Storms, T. Desmond Alexander, John Sailhamer, and Douglas Moo.
My best friend and ministry partner is my wife, who is a wonderful helpmate and supporter in my roles as husband, father, and student.
Outside of my passion for church, books, and school, I enjoy board/card games with Stacie, playing with our sons, going to movies, eating out, hanging out with friends, reading political news, snow-skiing, watching sermons by my favorite preachers, and blogging. My twitter name is: @mitchellchase.

Mitch, I’m excited to read your blog site entries. I know God is using you mightily in all different areas. With the Internet, there’s such a great possibility of reaching people you’ll never know about until you meet in Glory. I Praise the Lord for this new miracle He has created for you and Stacie. I will keep all three of you in my prayers. May He continue to Bless you both in all you do.
Oh, and remember, I’m the Gaga that changes dirty diapers! Available for babysitting, too.
Mitch, I’m so proud of you and Stacie. I love you both so much. Thanks for your hospitality. I know God is doing a marvelous work in you, your family, and your church. I can’t wait for the baby to get here, but I know the days of antisipation are just as exciting. I will be praying for you when you go to New York soon.
I really enjoyed reading your website.
Love and God’s blessings,
Your mother-in-law.
Mitch,
Congrats to you and Stacie regarding the pregnancy! You and Stacie are going to be great parents. You are both wonderful people that God has used/blessed and will continue to use/bless. Looking forward to “baby Chase!”
Your friend,
Brian
I’ve only read a few of your posts so far, but from those I can guess that there are many more good and helpful things you have to say to Christians.
I’m sure your congregation is very blessed to have your for their pastor.
